While the appearance of the root looks like an ordinary wood-like stick when you chew on a piece there is a distinctly sweet taste.

Slightly chew on one for a few minutes and it coats the inside of your mouth. Then drink tea and it provides an unbelievable burst of sweetness in your mouth. I will be buying more of these!
